our story

Ichigo Farms

Hey Berry Monsters!

We grow ichigo, which means "strawberry" in Japanese, in the same greenhouses my grandma built with her own hands after immigrating from Japan in the 1950s. Our berries come from Japanese varietals known for their sweetness and richness. These strawberries are often considered luxury fruit, but we believe they should be accessible to everyone. We don't believe in half-ripe berries. No pale crowns or white-shouldered fruit. Every berry we sell is perfectly red and perfectly ripe, guaranteed.

We grow our strawberries in greenhouses that use recycled water and solar energy. Sustainability is not just a practice for us; it's part of our legacy! Several of our greenhouses are over 50 years old.

I'm proud to be the third generation in our family business, to champion Japanese heritage, care, and flavor. I hope you'll try one of our ichigo and taste the difference.
